America As A Welfare State

I thought hard about what my next topic should be. I decided it would deal with what I have been talking about for the past 15 years or more: welfare. Why do we need it in the first place? I'm sure it has a purpose, but what is it? Exactly who benefits?
I believe a person should work for a living and earn a paycheck. The government has yet to send me any free money for sitting on my ass. Why should any one else be different? I have seen people coming home from the grocery store with (at least) 100.00 worth of food. I'm talking steaks and all kinds of goodies. How did they pay for it? Government checks, brother! Hey, if I have to pay taxes so some lazy bum can get a check that jackass needs to be eating Ramen Noodles. Know what I'm saying?

I understand that there are some people that actually need the help. WIC seems to be a good example. But giving out tons of money (food stamps, SSI, and other forms of government money) needs to stop. I for one am getting damn tired of paying for other people to live high on the hog while I do without. The same goes for doing free dental work on some of these welfare kids. I can't even get my teeth cleaned as often as I should because I can't afford dental insurance.

Another thing that pisses me off is the abuse of Medicaid. I can think of many instances where some parent takes their kid to the emergency room so a doctor can write a note saying that they were sick (when they were not) so that they will have a valid excuse to miss school. Who pays for that visit? Taxpayers do!

If the government insists on paying these people to sit around and have babies they might as well get something out of it. I think they need to put their lazy asses to work. Instead of sitting out on the front porch with a cold 30 ounce in one hand and the other sticking out for a check they need to earn that money. Put a garbage bag in one hand and let them use the other to pick up trash alongside the road.

I, for one, am sick and tired of working for a living and not having anything to show for it. When the paycheck comes I hate seeing how much the government takes for taxes. What really pisses me off is when April comes I end up sending more to the IRS so they can "divert" my money to some crack head who uses it to buy a new Cadillac, Sony big screen TV, and Nike Air Jordans. Sure, they can afford to do this when all they have to pay for rent is at a government housing complex (utilities included).

Hmm...I need a new home theater system. I wonder how I can screw the government out of few hundred bucks a month?

Slavery Reparations

Paying reparations to descendants of slaves has to be the biggest joke I've heard in the past several years. If it were not for the fact that our government has a tendency to make stupid decisions it is almost funny, however, it is not a laughing matter. We're already paying so much in welfare and issuing out what you may have heard referred to as "crazy checks" that one more free check would not surprise me.

In case you're new to the idea let me give you some background on this concept. The idea of paying slave descendants money is not new; in fact it has been around for several decades. Groups such as the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations (N'COBRA) have recently been putting quite a bit of support behind this issue. They believe that Black Americans should be paid a sum of trillion dollars. This would be achieved in a direct transfer of wealth in addition to various changes of the legal system and even our culture as we know it.

My question is where will this money come from? Will the average citizen have to pay more taxes in order for the government to distribute the wealth? If so, how will they decide who pays? A large segment of our society arrived here after slavery had been abolished. Starting in the 1880s there was massive immigration from Europe, not to mention other waves of immigration over the last twenty years, where there were many people from Mexico, Cuba, Korea, and various other nations coming to the United States.

You also have to consider the fact that not all Whites prior to the Civil War who lived in the US owned slaves. Do the descendants of those people have to pay? What about Blacks who owned slaves? (Yes, there were a few). Do they have to pay?

If you want my opinion they can all kiss my ass; I don't plan on giving them a dime. However, if the powers that be ever decide to create a separate nation for these people I'm 100% behind that idea. Let them all go live together. This is one person that is not buying into their "racial guilt" scheme.
